The old testament blame game

The Old Testament tells many stories. The first one, Genesis, being the one I will talk about right now in this blog entry. In Genesis, the lord, G-d creates the earth itself and would continue to add more and more each day. Adam and Eve were created and they were brought to this Garden of Eden which some people say was the so called heaven on earth. When Adam and Eve were created, they were created "perfect" but G-d would test this and watch their actual inability to really be perfect.  One day, G-d created the tree of life which grew endless wonders from each and every branch from that tree. Growing things from food to flowers, this tree really was the tree of life. When G-d created this tree, he told both Adam and Eve not to eat from it and telling Eve that there was only one thing that she couldn't do would obviously make her want to do it even more. An example from the text that proves this is "when the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it." One day Eve couldn't stand it anymore and ate from the tree, showing the endless flaws the humans have. G-d knew this was going to happen.  Because Eve deliberately disobeyed G-d's commands, Adam and Eve were punished by not being allowed back into the garden of Eden ever again. The question of all of this was, who is to blame for the punishments of Eve and Adam.  In my opinion there two two major blames to be given. Those two are Eve and G-d. The reason why I think it is Eve's fault is because, overall, it was her desicion to eat the tree and she had the choice all along.  The other blame I would like to give out is to G-d. The reasoning for this is that G-d wouldn't tell them not to eat from the tree if he didn't know that they were going to eat from the tree, so a follow up question would be, If G-d knew that Eve and Adam were going to eat from the tree, then why would he put it there in the first place. Let me know in the comments below.   Thanks so much
